November is National Alzheimer's Disease Awareness MonthPromotional Ideas for National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month

First designated as the national month to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease in 1983 by President Ronald Reagan, more than 5 million Americans have the affliction today.

Useful for: Medical centers, organizations, and businesses that support adults and religious groups.

Outcome: Alzheimer’s is an insidious disease. Almost every family has been touched by it. Care is expensive and exhausting, and early identification can slow the progress. Organizations that demonstrate that they care about improving the lives of those afflicted and their families raise the regard in their communities.

Promotional Ideas:

  • Participate as a sponsor in a fundraiser.
  • Ask employees to donate money to the Alzheimer’s Association and offer them a reward (names on a board, a button to wear, etc.)
