National Home Care Month & National Home Hospice Month – November
Every November, the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) celebrates National Home Care Month and National Hospice Month to honor those who care for those working in the home care and hospice industry.
National Home Care & Hospice Month is every November. During this time, the home care and hospice community honor the nurses, home care aides, therapists, and social workers who make a difference for the patients and families they serve. These people work hard to serve in the health care system and homes all over the nation.
Useful For: Those who are interested in thanking the people involved with home care and hospice.
Outcome: Raise awareness about how important home care and hospice workers really are to the whole community.
Promotional Ideas:
- If you own a restaurant, offer discounts to those in the home care and hospice industry.
- Own a spa? Offer free massages for those in the industry. Home care and hospice are high-stress jobs, and the workers can benefit a lot from a good massage thanking them.
- In the hospitality industry? Offer a discounted or free night stay giveaway for someone in the industry and a guest in your best suite to allow some rest and rejuvenation.
- Hang signs in your business windows spreading awareness of the month and what it means for those in the industry.
These are just a few ideas to get the ball rolling. If you have any others, please share it with those around you!
