This day was designated by President Bill Clinton in 1994 as a designated holiday. It is not intended as a day for giving gifts. Instead, this is the day to honor your parents and let them know how much they are appreciated.
Useful for: Churches, family oriented businesses (restaurants, entertainment, movies, retail) and other organizations.
Outcome: Brings families in to the church or business to honor parents.
- Invite your patrons to come by and receive a free gift (a price reduction, a free meal, something for the home like new curbside street numbers).
- Give patrons a certificate for their parents with a thank you and a free consideration for their future use with an acknowledgement from you.
