Americans spent over $20.7 billion on Valentine’s Day in 2019.  The National Retail Federation estimates that Americans will spend upwards of  $3.9 billion on jewelry. The most popular gift or experience to give on Valentine’s Day in the United States in 2018 was an evening out. Approximately 5.5 billion U.S. dollars was estimated to be spent on evenings out in this year.

Americans will also spend $2.1 billion on clothing for this holiday , and nearly $2 billion is spent on Valentine’s Day flowers.

Obviously, things may be different with the COVID-19 Crisis, but it will still be a big day for almost all businesses.
